Silent revenge

Giving someone an opportunity to move them forward is a wonderful thing. However, you must genuinely want to help that person and if you don't want to help them, consider that door closed.

An old friend once made a conscious decision to be selfish and unkind toward me. And now, 6 months down the track, I'm presented with an opportunity which would make that same person weak at the knees. There are two options: be the bigger person and help her on her way or, keep quiet and relish in silent revenge.

While I always thought I was someone who'd open the door for anyone if the chance arose, I've recently seen a new side to myself - I will retaliate. And as nice as I may be, I don't tolerate being treated badly or lied to.
